Asmara, 15 October 2025 – A senior Eritrean delegation comprising Mr. Nesredin Mohammed Saleh, Minister of Trade and Industry, and Mr. Hagos Gebrehiwet, Head of Economic Affairs of the PFDJ, is conducting a two-day working visit to Sultanate of Oman.
The delegation has today met in Muscat, Mr. Qias bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Oman’s Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion as well as Mr. Badir bin Hamad Al Busaidi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, to discuss enhancement of bilateral ties and exchange views on regional issues of mutual interest.
In the respective meetings, the two sides have agreed to expand and consolidate investment and trade cooperation between the two countries in various sectors.
The Eritrean delegation will further hold a series of meeting with various other government agencies and several private companies during its official, two-day, visit.
It is to be recalled that, during a meeting with President Isaias Afwerki on 24 March 2025 in Asmara, Mr. Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Oman, delivered a message from Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman focusing on strengthening bilateral ties as well as on regional and global issues of mutual concern.
