Our Support for Ethnic Secessionist  Forces
vis a vis
the Eritrean Defense Forces of the Nation of Eritrea

We, in the Eritrean opposition, support the Ethnic Secessionist Forces of the Eritrean Separatist Movements and we entered into alliances  with these forces that consider the Eritrean Defense Forces as a Tigrinya  army  and the Eritrean regime as a Tigrinya regime that has to be eliminated on account of being " a Tigrinya army and government ". We gave these  Ethnic Separatist Forces of the Eritrean Separatist Movements a blank check in the form of " by all means necessary" so that  killing members of the Eritrean Defense Forces, which they shamelessly  announce as  killings of Tigrinya soldiers,  becomes an agreed upon " means" of struggle.

..........And we have no qualm about the support we give these
secessionist forces who consider the Eritrean Defense Force as a Tigrinya army  but we do when it comes to the Eritrean Defense Forces, the forces we claim to be the determining elements of  change?  Something is wrong here. A huge and fundamental flaw.

Our Support for Mujhadeen Forces of the Jihadist Movements
vis a vis
the Eritrean Defense Forces of the Nation of Eritrea

We, in the Eritrean opposition, support the Mujahdeen Forces of the Eritrean Jihadist Movements and we entered into alliances  with these forces that consider the Eritrean Defense Forces as a Christian army  and the Eritrean regime as a Christian regime that has to be eliminated on account of being " a Christian army and government ". We gave these  Mujahdeen Forces  of the Eritrean Jihadist  Movements a blank check in the form of " by all means necessary" so that  slitting the throats of civilians (inquire about the of slitting of the throat of the bus driver by a Mujahid on the Goluj road last month) becomes an agreed upon " means" of struggle. Those who were vocal in opposing such brutal actions are now muted.

..........And we have no qualm about the support we give these
Mujahdeen who consider the Eritrean Defense Force as a Christian Army but we do when it comes to the Eritrean Defense Forces, the forces we claim to be the determining elements of  change?  Something is wrong here. A huge and fundamental flaw.

Can we in the Eritrean opposition, as genuine and patriotic opposition, state the same as stated below and courageously and clearly say:
We oppose the Eritrean government's governance of the nation but we sympathize with the predicament of the Eritrean Defense Forces and we stand by and support them? Be it in time of peace or war?
It is incumbent upon the leadership and rank and file of the opposition to assure our people and the Eritrean Defense Forces
that we are on their side.

"Oppose the war, Support our troops" Democratic Party (US)
