Former Ethiopian President Mulatu Teshome has accused Eritrea of preparing a new war with Ethiopia.
“It is time to take action to prevent another war in the Horn of Africa,” he said in a statement published under his name and published on Al Jazeera.
“President Isaias Afwerki is working to create tension in northern Ethiopia,” he said.
The former Ethiopian president, who is also a former diplomat, accused President Afwerki of using the tension between the TPLF and the central government as an opportunity to interfere in the country’s affairs.
